Gustavo Gomes

Gustavo Turquia is a business leader with extensive experience in financial services, payments, and technology across Brazil, Latin America, and the Caribbean. He holds a degree in Business Administration, an MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral, and executive training from London Business School. Over the past two decades, he has shaped Brazil’s payments industry through leadership roles at Banco BS2, ADIQ, and Adyen. Since joining Visa in 2018, he has advanced from Sales Director to Executive Director and now serves as Country Manager in the Dominican Republic, where he also sits on the Central America and Caribbean leadership board.

Beyond his corporate trajectory, Gustavo is deeply committed to inclusion and mentorship. He co-founded Visa Brazil’s Diversity & Inclusion ERG, contributed to the global Pride group, and mentors entrepreneurs through the Visa Acceleration Program. He is also the co-founder of Alpes One, a startup providing CRM and digital marketing solutions for the automotive sector. Currently living in Santo Domingo with his fiancé, Hugo, and their adopted dog, Gustavo leads with authenticity, resilience, and a belief that business must be grounded in humanity, equity, and joy — values he brings to Do Good Law.
