Gabriela Epstein
Gabriela Epstein is a compliance and governance leader with deep expertise in financial regulation, corporate governance, and anti–money laundering across the Americas. She currently serves as Compliance Governance Manager at Square (Block, Inc.), overseeing partnership compliance and global AML standards within a fast-moving fintech ecosystem. With nearly two decades of experience at the intersection of law, technology, and ethics, she has guided major financial institutions through complex regulatory landscapes. Her past roles include six years at Visa managing regulatory operations across Brazil and Latin America, as well as earlier positions with Western Union, The Nature Conservancy, and Promontory Financial Group.
Gabriela holds a J.D. from Universidade Paulista, an LL.M. in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the University of Denver, and is completing the Executive LEAD Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, she brings a global perspective shaped by her experience as an immigrant and mother of twins. Her career reflects a belief that compliance is not just regulatory obligation but a foundation for trust, inclusion, and sustainability.
